UGPS SpA (hereinafter "we", "us" or "the company") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of its customers, users and website visitors. This policy describes how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information in accordance with applicable personal data protection law.
2. Data we collect
We collect the following types of personal data when you interact with our services:
Identification data: full name, tax identification number, email address, phone number, job title and company. This data is collected when you fill out contact, quote or registration forms on our platform.
Platform usage data: information about how you use the Atlas platform, including access frequency, features used and configuration preferences.
Vehicle and fleet data: GPS location, vehicle telematics, driving records and sensor data. This data is collected through the devices installed in our customers' vehicles and is processed exclusively to provide the contracted service.
Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent on our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
3. Purposes of processing
We use your personal data for the following purposes: providing the contracted GPS monitoring and telematics services; managing your account on the Atlas platform; service-related communications, including alerts, reports and notifications; customer service and technical support; continuous improvement of our products and services; compliance with legal and regulatory obligations; and, with your consent, sending commercial communications about new products and services.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of: the performance of the service contract entered into with you or your company; your express consent, where applicable; our legitimate interest in improving our services and preventing fraud; and compliance with applicable legal obligations.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your data with: technology service providers that help us provide the service (hosting, data processing, technical support), who are contractually bound to protect your data; competent authorities when required by law; and companies in our group for internal administrative purposes.
6. Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, continuous security monitoring, regular backups and regular data protection training for our staff.
7. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and applicable legal obligations. Vehicle and telematics data is kept for the period defined in your service contract. Once the business relationship ends, the data will be deleted or anonymized within a maximum of 12 months, unless the law requires a longer retention period.
8. Data subject rights
Under applicable law, you have the right to: access your personal data and obtain a copy; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request the deletion of your data when it is no longer needed; object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances; and withdraw your consent at any time. 9. Cookies
